Our surf camps in El Palmar
Since we started everything has changed a lot: El Palmar, surfing and ourselves.
From an almost unknown beach, El Palmar has become a fashionable destination for people from Andalusia, Spain , Europe and even more distant countries. What was a forgotten place is now a must for tourists who find in the many bars and restaurants that have opened in recent times the ideal complement to the wild beaches that we have the pleasure of enjoying Surfing has gone from being a minority
activity practiced by some crazy people to be a sport that is carried out by a large number of people who are considered "normal" by general parameters.
From being three surf schools in El Palmar we have become more than twenty in summer, which open to the heat of demand and the opportunity to spend the summer by the sea "making August".
Our school itself, which in those beginnings was a roof with some boards and wetsuits and one person working in it, has become a company with almost ten people working in high season who teach surfing to thousands of people every year and who, in addition to We offer surf classes , surfcamps , a surf shop with specialized advice, equipment rental , yoga classes throughout the year...
We share our passion for the ocean, the waves and this part of the world trying to preserve the spirit with which Kike 9Pies began a decade ago.

What boards will I need to surf the Palmar waves?
In summer, except for a few isolated days, the waves are small and not very strong, so a longboard or a board with enough volume will be good for you . The rest of the year, although you can find more than two meters on the best days, you will usually be successful if you have a board that you feel comfortable on in waves of half a meter to one and a half meters that are not very complicated. Of course, contrary to what many people think, if you are looking for hollow and powerful waves you will also find them. In any case, at the school you can find a wide variety of boards in case the conditions do not suit the material you bring.
